Terms of Service
Effective date: September 7, 2026
Welcome to Andrew Korean.
These Terms of Service apply to online Korean language lessons and related educational services provided by Andrew Korean. By booking, purchasing, or participating in a lesson or course, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Andrew Korean provides online Korean language education, including private one-on-one Korean lessons, online group Korean classes, Korean language learning materials, and related educational services.
The content, schedule, duration, price, and format of each course or lesson may vary and will be provided on the website or communicated to the student before enrollment or purchase.
2. Eligibility
Students are responsible for providing accurate information when booking or purchasing a lesson.
Students under the age of majority in their country or region may need permission from a parent or legal guardian before purchasing or participating in lessons.
3. Booking and Enrollment
A booking is considered confirmed after the required booking process has been completed.
For paid lessons or courses, enrollment may require successful payment before participation.
Group classes may have a limited number of students. Availability is not guaranteed until enrollment is confirmed.
4. Payment
Students must pay the applicable lesson or course fee using one of the payment methods offered by Andrew Korean.
Prices may be displayed in Korean won (KRW), U.S. dollars (USD), or another currency depending on the service.
Banks, card issuers, payment processors, or other financial institutions may charge additional transaction or currency conversion fees. Such fees are generally the responsibility of the student unless otherwise stated.
5. Lesson Schedule and Time Zones
Students are responsible for checking the correct lesson date, time, and time zone before attending.
Because Andrew Korean provides lessons to students in different countries, schedules may be displayed in Korean Standard Time (KST) or another specified time zone.
Students should confirm the corresponding local time before booking or attending a lesson.
6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds
Rules regarding cancellations, rescheduling, missed lessons, and refunds are described separately in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
By purchasing or booking a lesson, students also agree to the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Late Arrival and Absence
Students should join lessons on time.
If a student arrives late, the lesson will generally end at the originally scheduled time.
If a student is absent, the handling of the missed lesson will follow the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Group Classes
Group classes are conducted according to a predetermined schedule and may have a maximum number of participants.
The lesson may continue even if an individual student is absent.
Andrew Korean may adjust, postpone, combine, or cancel a group class when reasonably necessary, including in cases of insufficient enrollment.
When this affects paid lessons, an appropriate alternative, credit, rescheduling option, or refund will be provided in accordance with the applicable policy and law.
9. Online Learning Environment
Students are responsible for having a stable internet connection, a suitable computer, tablet, or smartphone, any necessary software or application required for the lesson, and an appropriate environment for participating in the class.
Andrew Korean is not responsible for lesson interruptions caused by technical problems on the student's side.
If a significant technical problem occurs on the teacher's side and prevents the lesson from being properly provided, an appropriate alternative may be offered.
10. Student Conduct
Students are expected to communicate respectfully with the teacher and other students.
Harassment, discrimination, threats, inappropriate behavior, intentional disruption of lessons, or other conduct that significantly interferes with the learning environment may result in removal from a lesson or termination of access to the service.
11. Lesson Materials and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, lesson materials created or provided by Andrew Korean are intended for the student's personal educational use only.
Students may not reproduce, sell, redistribute, publicly upload, or commercially use these materials without prior permission.
12. Recording and Distribution
Students may not record, reproduce, livestream, distribute, or publicly upload lessons without prior permission from Andrew Korean and, where applicable, other participants.
If Andrew Korean wishes to record a lesson in a situation where consent is required, appropriate notice or consent will be obtained.
13. Educational Results
Andrew Korean aims to provide effective Korean language education, but individual learning results may vary depending on factors such as attendance, practice, study time, learning goals, and individual progress.
No specific language level, examination result, fluency level, or other learning outcome is guaranteed.
14. Changes to Lessons or Services
Course content, teaching materials, schedules, prices, and service formats may be changed when reasonably necessary.
Changes that materially affect an existing paid booking will be communicated to the affected student where appropriate.
15. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms conflicts with mandatory applicable consumer law, that law will take precedence to the extent required.
16. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated when necessary.
The latest version and effective date will be published on the website. Changes will not retroactively remove rights that have already arisen under applicable law.
